It is and remains beautiful to see, the almond trees that are in bloom. Since December was a relatively warm month in the south of Spain along the Mediterranean coast and also in the Balearic Islands, the almond trees are already in bloom in many places.

It is actually too early because normally the almond blossom show can only be enjoyed from the end of January or the beginning of February in the south of Spain and in the Balearic Islands. In recent years, however, it is not uncommon for the "floración de los almendros" to start earlier, but at the beginning of a new year it is very early.

Maybe it's not such a good news for nature that the almond blossom started so early but for the nature lover and amateur photographers, because these are the weeks that people can drive or walk through Spain to enjoy the annual pink and white coat which is laid over the valleys, hills and valleys.

In many places the blossom can already be seen on the trees, but it is expected that it will be full in bloom around January 15th. That depends, of course, on the region in Spain.

Andalusia

In several places in Andalusia one can already enjoy the almond blossom such as in the Montes de Málaga where in and around the municipalities of Almogía and Casabermeja or in the Axarquía region in Arenas, Totalán, Sayalonga and Sedella

In the province of Granada there are already many trees in bloom or budding as in the Alpujarra valley near the municipalities Torvizcón, Almegíjar, Cástaras, Lobras, Cádiar, Turón, Murtas, Albuñol, Albondón, Polopos, Sorvilán, Rubite, Ugíjar, Alpujarra de la Sierra and Válor according to the Ideal newspaper.

Also in the province of Almería the almond trees are already in bloom in many places and there too you can enjoy the "floración de los almendros".

Valencia

In the Comunidad Valenciana, the first trees are flowering in the province of Alicante, where many pink and white can be seen in the Vega Baja region and the municipalities of Orihuela, Pilar de la Horadada and San Miguel, the newspaper Diario Información.

There will undoubtedly be many more places in Spain where you can already enjoy the almond blossom. Have you seen them already?
