The Embajadores district in Madrid has been voted the coolest neighborhood in the world by the American magazine Time Out.
The name says a lot of people probably nothing but if we know Lavapiés, the name under which the neighborhood is better known, many people know what we are talking about.
Lavapies or Embajadores has been chosen by Time Out as the coolest neighborhood in the world. This district in the Spanish capital is the number one on the list of 50 cool neighborhoods on the City Life Index.
According to the American magazine, Lavapiés is the most colored neighborhood where walking around can be seen as an adventure. Lavapies or Embajadores is the number one and is followed by the Euljiro district in Seoul (South Korea) as number two and the Nueva Villa de Aburrá district in Medellín (Colombia) as number three.
As the second colle district Sant Antoni in Barcelona is number 22 on the list of 50 coolest neighborhoods.
