News: Podemos " we can offer Pedro Sánchez a motion of censure to go to elections".
The spokeswoman of Podemos, Irene Montero, offered Tuesday the unconditional support of her 67 deputies to a motion of censure led by PSOE Secretary General Pedro Sánchez.
In a press conference Montero has assured that "the priority is to cast the PP" and has opened the door to promote a technical government even without its presence and whose main function is to call new elections.
Montero has maintained the demand that his political space has been making in recent weeks to the PSOE. "As long as I continue to support the repressive strategy, it will be more difficult to start the path of dialogue." I want to send a message to the PSOE: rectify and do not stay on the sidelines. freedom, fraternity and coexistence, to stop asking for dialogue and to feel a dialogue.
The Unidos Unidos spokesman has asked the Government and the PP to "stop the authoritarian, violent and aggressive attitude of its main spokesmen." In their opinion, "they know that they have made a mistake of disproportionate dimensions in Catalonia and Spain." "Spain is the shame of the whole world." In Catalonia, the strategy of repression has failed. "The PP had two options: to rectify or deepen the gap and the fracture, have chosen repression, increased violence," he explained.
Montero has compromised the support of his group to the reprobation raised by the PSOE to the vice president of the Government, Soraya Sáenz de Santamaría. The Socialist spokeswoman, Margarita Robles, has assured that she is the "maximum responsible" of what happened on Sunday in Catalunya, reason why they have initiated the parliamentary process that will lead to a vote of the Congress on the suitability of Sáenz de Santamaría.
The Unidos Unidos spokeswoman, however, has pointed out Mariano Rajoy as the main responsible for the situation. "The President of the Government expels Catalonia outside Spain, but also to Spain outside Europe and the democracies," he said.
"We will support the reprobation but the only sensible reprobation is to remove the PP from the Government," Montero said. Asked about this option, the spokeswoman of the confederal group has expressly mentioned the option of a motion of censorship led by Pedro Sánchez and without preconditions. Montero has said that the 67 deputies of his group would support the leader of the PSOE even for a technical government that promotes new elections and without its presence in the Executive was essential.
Compromis, in favor of the censure motion
Compromis spokesman at the Congress, Joan Baldoví, has also appeared before the media on Tuesday. The Valencian deputy has assured that the four representatives of the coalition would support this hypothetical censure motion against Mariano Rajoy.
"If the PSOE of 'is not no' decides to apply what he preached in the primaries we would join a motion of censorship," said the spokesman.
Baldoví has been "desolated by the bellicose language of the PP and Citizens, who appeal to more harshness." And he added: "Some people have not understood anything," he said, "to describe people as Nazis who use a fundamental right is wrong.
The Valencian spokesman also lamented that "nothing is moving," referring to the Spanish and Catalan governments. But also in reference to the PSOE, which has been urged to add "even as an observer" to the table of parties that tomorrow will host the Congress. "I should reconsider," he said.
Baldoví has anticipated that at this meeting they will ask the PDeCAT and ERC [forming the Government of Puigdemont] to "pick up the phone" and try to talk to Rajoy.
