News: Visiting the Dutch Consular Team Embassy Madrid to the regions for passport applications in 2019.

The Consular Team of the Dutch Embassy in Madrid will once again travel this year to arrange the application of travel documents in the region where many Dutch people live. Passport applications in Spain should normally be made by appointment at the Embassy in Madrid. But just as in previous years, the Embassy of Madrid will, in 2019, send Consular Teams to the region for the application of travel documents (passport and / or identity card).

The preliminary plan was announced in a pre-announcement on the website of the Dutch embassy in Madrid:

Balearic Islands: March

Canary Islands: May

Comunidad Valenciana (La Nucia): June

Catalonia (Barcelona): October

Andalusia (Málaga): November

Approximately one month before the Team arrives, a new announcement follows on the website, announcing the final date of the visit. The filing of a passport application in the region is in principle intended for Dutch people who are unable to travel to Madrid for a long period and can demonstrate this by means of a medical certificate.

Persons who do not fall into this category can also submit a reasoned request. The Embassy determines on the basis of the capacity how many people from this second category will be taken into account and, if necessary, makes a selection.

In the final announcement you will find an e-mail address to which an application can be sent (with the addition of the documents showing that the conditions are met).

Approximately one week before the Team arrives, the candidates will receive a message in response to the mail if they are eligible to submit your application. In that e-mail you can read where and when exactly is expected. The payment must have been received by the Embassy prior to the appointment, and instructions will also be made for this in this email.

Experience shows that the above method of communication to customers is successful and sufficient. We are therefore requested not to ban the Embassy with questions in the meantime. All questions will eventually be answered during the communication moments indicated above.
